Prince 2

All Midland Aerospace customers are assigned a single point of contact; additionally, a Prince 2 certified Project Manager is allocated to all complex and development projects.

All purchase orders enjoy a tailored four stream contract review process to ensure product and specification conformity.

Midland Aerospace continues to adapt to our customer needs by offering Supply Chain Solutions with agreed stocking levels and LTA’s whilst we continue to support build to print and AOG requirements.

Midland Aerospace uses the latest CAD-CAM software for its offline programming and modelling requirements. This allows Midland Aerospace to develop project-specific procedures, identify and address design parameters which ensure unforeseen engineering problems are overcome prior to production.

Heat Treatments

Midland Aerospace NADCAP-approved heat-treatment services meet the requirements of AMS2750 Class 2, Instrumentation Type C.

Midland Aerospace provides heat treatment certifications and inspection reports with every order.

Heat treating operations include:

  • Solution treatment
  • Tempering
  • Annealing
  • Hardening
  • Stress relieving

The requirements of NADCAP AC7101.3D, AC102, AC102.2, AC7102.5, AC71021.8, AC7102-S are satisfied by our internal procedure. In addition, the requirements of AMS2750, ABP3-1119.

BAEP 9006, R25-6210, WAPS 17-02, ARP1962A have been satisfied.

Chemical Processing & Paint
Chemical Processing & Paint

Midland Aerospace can provide Alocrom surface treatment & Paint using our internal chemical processing line & state of the art spray/bake booth.

Our Alocrom and Paint processes are also Nadcap approved and conforming to specific customer requirements.

Alocrom: 1200 Immersion / Brush process.

Paint process: Primer, Topcoat, Abrasive resistant paint.

The requirements of NADCAP AC7108, AC7108/01, AC7108/04, AC7108/11, AC7108/1 are satisfied by our internal procedure. In addition, the requirements of MIL-DTL-5541, DEF STAN 03-18, MIL-C-5541, ABP1-5057, AVP2-007, ABP4-1123, ABP4-2130, ABP4-2127, ABP4-2126, ABP4-2124, ABP4-2364, ABP4-2128, AIPI 05-02-009, AIPS 05-02-09, AIPS 05-02-003 have been satisfied.

Midland Aerospace state of the art Non-destructive Testing facility approved by Nadcap allows us to offer Penetrant Flaw Detection & Magnetic Particle Inspection to our customers. We are approved to use the following methods.

Penetrant Flaw Detect

Type 1: Fluorescent

Method A: Water Washable / Method D: Post Emulsified

Level 2: Medium Sensitivity / Level 3: High Sensitivity

Form a: Dry Developer / Form d: Non-Aqueous Developer

Magnetic Particle Inspection (Pending Nadcap approval)

Magnetising Unit: 3000A MBU AC/HWDC/MF Plato System 3

The requirements of NADCAP AC7114/2 and AC7114/2s are satisfied by our internal procedure. In addition, the requirements of ASTM E1444, ABP6-5229, AITM6-2001 and WAPS25-01 have been satisfied.

Midland Aerospace is widely recognised by its customer for providing an outstanding level of services and quality, a key element of our success is the inspection controls throughout manufacturing cycle, verification of products at various stages of the production process, final inspection and prior to its dispatch ensuring our processes are delivering capable and repeatable results.

We have a fully equipped inspection department for both in-process and final inspection. Using the latest CMM and metrology equipment:

  • Hexagon Global D - Measuring Range: X=1200 Y= 2200 Z= 1000
  • Mitutoyo euro C776 – Measuring Range: X= 700mm Y= 700mm Z= 600mm
