Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant role comprises of :

• Cash availability and management of the sales invoicing and ledger and management of the purchase ledger.
• Assist with payment control, credit control, audits, month end and year end protocols.
• Any additional duties to support a busy SME.

Qualifications & Experience

Expect a minimum 2 years Finance experience and demonstrate knowledge of core financial systems including:

• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office incl. Excel & Outlook
• Sage 50
• Sage 50 Payroll
• Javelin MRP

Also be required to demonstrate:

• Commercial experience
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Attention to detail and can-do attitude

Working hours are 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am - 12.30pm on a Friday.

Midland Aerospace has an exciting new opportunity within a long-established manufacturing organisation, using a variety of Machining and Fabrication processes to manufacture their products from our modern purpose-built facility located in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

We require a new 3 & 5 Axis Machinist / setter / operator with experience of 2 axis lathe operations ideally with proven aerospace experience.

Duties and responsibilities

• Milling - 3 and 5 axis milling with experience with HAAS controls or FANUC
• 2 axis Lathe Operation - Experience of 2 axis lathe operation - Offset adjustment and tool wear adjustment - No setting experience required.
• Measuring tools and Self Inspection Processes - Extensive use of shop measuring tools including Verniers, Micrometers, plug and screw plug gauges
• Multi Machine Management - Ability to work multiple machines and preferably have experience using HAAS, DMG, Hermle machines to cove multiple programs and product spread to exacting tolerances.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years experience.
• Qualified engineering apprenticeship background.
• Knowledge of Aerospace, Defence and Energy industries, clients and opportunities.
• Read and understand 2 d engineering drawings.
• Must have good team working skills coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Flexible and forward thinker with a 'can do' attitude.
• Ideally located within easy local commute to Sutton-in-Ashfield site.

Starting salary will be commensurate with skills and experience - up to £13.50 p/h.
